  • The rubber suit made noise. Every line of dialog uttered while the Intendant was in motion had to be looped or over-dubbed later. According to Nana, it creaked. That in addition to having been incredibly hot & bulky: at Visicon (Dublin, Ireland - June 1996), she said it felt like she was a "tire"!

Bath scene, Crossover Nana: "It kind of ruins everything.... Put them to death! -- **creak!!** "
from Holodiction - Sydney, Australia - May 1996

  • There, naturally, is the oft-repeated story of the Crossover milk-tub scene, which, thanks to some crafty members of the DS9 film-crew, has caused Nana to blush (to put it mildly!) during filming. Juicier details are included in this 1997 con report culled from Blanche's archives.

  • The idea of Intendant Kira's overly-fascinated interest in Major Kira in Crossover had led to her later having "female slaves", which gave an alleged hint of bisexuality which wasn't really intended (pardon the pun). Nana herself once described the Intendant as being "totally in love with herself" (barring any Freudian implications *g*).

  • Massage-scene, TTLG There's also the TTLG massage-scene: Intendant Kira dressed in nothing but a black silk scarf covering her derriére (other extremities concealed by a large pillow). The low camera-angle panning her body during the scene didn't ease Nana's embarrasement much, either: in a 1996 interview the actress stated that she had "...never done any kind of nudity... you don't get more shy than I am".

  • Another scene in TTLG must've had Nana blushing after seeing it. Later, when the Intendant & her subordinates are pursuing Sisko et al. around the station there's this low-angle camera shot: when she struts into the camera (before turning to the side at the last second), it appeared to zoom into her cr... well, if you've seen it, you get the idea! *chortle*

Intendant Donna!

Who's This..?

Seems like there's more than one Intendant that lurks around here. *g* Meet Intendant Tiv Keldar, trying very hard to impress Bob (and doing a damn good job of it!). Click here or on the photo to get a better look at this Intendant!
